ICQ was one of the biggest messengers in Eastern Europe and Russia, but it lost it’s supremacy after mobiles has come. Now it tries to redesign itself as a video messenger.
The main challenge was to shift accents from text messages to video calls. The other requirement was not to remove text messages and leave it as useful as it is now. Also they asked to experiment in visual styles
Text now without any bubbles and with increased font size
As a result - was created information architecture with all key screens
